The Amazing Pearl


Have you ever wanted to find the “Pearl of the World?” If you did what would you with it? In Steinbeck’s novel, The Pearl, Kino finds the pearl of the world. He wanted to get the money for his family. But once Kino got this magnificent treasure he would only protect the pearl not his family. Kino is going to have a great, yet devastating adventure with this pearl.
Kino tremendous journey after finding the pearl, reveals Kino’s good thought and his bad ambitions. All of his bad thoughts had to do with the pearl, and his good thought come from his loving family. Songs go through his mind every time something bad or good happens, like when Coyotito gets stung by a scorpion. All the songs are from his mind and heart.
The pearl plays a big role in the book, it’s the symbol of evil and the scorpion is also a symbol of evil. The evi1 from the pearl gets Kino all angry with his wife and his friends. It also sets Kino and his family on tremendous journey through the wild,but on their way to the big city they get followed by three men and their two horses. Those men were natives from the island that wanted to kill Kino and his family.
Kino has a loving wife and son but, when Kino only protects the pearl his wife gets angry. When he goes to the big the big city his wife just wants to go so he has to let her go. But when they go to the big city Coyotito gets shoot.
This is just some of Kino’s adventure with the pearl. Kino’s life can be hard sometimes. What would you do if you found the Pearl of the World?
